Franca & Ameya; Destination wedding in Almiral de la Font

September 6th, 2024. A somewhat rainy day in which we had to activate plan B for a wedding, but in which the color and personality that the couple brought to the celebration was not lacking. Franca and Ameya's destination wedding in Almiral de la Font was incredible.

How different couples and guests deal with situations is crucial to the development of any wedding. In this case, we are referring to how well they dealt with the uncertainty regarding the weather on the day, and how they adapted to the changes that were necessary due to the weather.

They did not choose it to rain, and neither did we. But they did not hesitate for a moment to accept all the recommendations we offered them on how to act with the forecast of rain.

We activated PLAN B a few days before the wedding celebration.

They hired the venue's tent, which was set up in front of the house's facade to cover the dinner.

They agreed to have the ceremony on the balcony, where the aperitif was initially going to take place.

We set up the drinks bar in the disco area (inside), as well as the buffet and cocktail furniture (which we were later able to move outside since it didn't rain during the appetizer).

Was it their idea for the wedding to happen like this? No.

They wanted the ceremony upstairs, the aperitif with its bar on the balcony and their dinner in front of the house, but without a tent. It is normal for each couple to idealize this moment, since it will only happen once in a lifetime, and they spend months and months working and organizing the development of these hours.

But what made the difference was their positive predisposition to make the necessary changes to be able to celebrate their wedding in Almiral de la Font. Because what was really important to them, and what they were clear about what they wanted to prioritize, was being able to enjoy that unique moment with their loved ones, whether with plan A or plan B.

A nice, friendly couple with a lot of feeling.

It was a pleasure working with both of them during the previous months to prepare the details of their wedding in Almiral de la Font. Communication was quick and very easy!

With different nationalities and currently residing in London, they managed to bring together their closest people to celebrate love in Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona).

Bold colors characterized the details of the celebration.

The big bouquets in the middle of the dinner tables, the colors of the typography of the designs, the mini bottle of Tabasco (the hot sauce could not be missing) that they gave to all the guests, and even Ameya's shoes (which were red sneakers).

An outdoor ceremony, a few shots and a “just married” later, marks the start of Franca & Ameya’s aperitif in Almiral de la Font.

The weather finally allowed for the cocktail party to be held outside, so we quickly moved the furniture around the banquet and pool area, and we changed the location of the buffet so they could enjoy their paella dishes outdoors, surrounded by nature.

Speeches, games, conversations between guests, enjoying good food and mojitos available at the drinks bar. What a fantastic cocktail time!

It also seems that some references of our Mediterranean cuisine were in keeping with the colorimetry of the wedding details, as is the case of the Crispy corn toast with piquillo pepper mousse, the Shot of traditional gazpacho and our Paella buffet (if you are not sure about which corner you want to add to your wedding, add the paella corner, it is a must!).

Later we continued the wedding under the tent. After some speeches from family and friends, we served the dishes that Franca & Ameya had chosen in their menu tasting;

• Carpaccio of fresh zucchini slices with candied cherry tomatoes, cashew nuts, goats cheese and special balsamic vinaigrette,

• Griddle of boneless confit suckling lamb accompanied by truffled potato parmentier and carrots roasted in the oven with aromatic herbs / V: Spinach and Grana Padano raviolones in a roquefort sauce.

• Passion fruit sorbet.

• Cake buffet: matcha tea cake, lemon cake, crunchy chocolate cake with chocolate sponge & Cheesecake "La Viña" style (oven).
  

We love couples who decide on the cake buffet instead of the classic wedding cake.

Why have just one cake when you can have several?

We believe that the only disadvantage is that if guests have a flavor in mind and when they go to the buffet it is no longer available. For this reason, we recommend that you add a cake buffet as a dessert on the menu, and leave the surprise (of the different flavors) for later.

But the way this dessert alternative is set up, is spectacular.

Well, if you go ahead with the cake buffet you can choose up to 4 different flavors from our menu (from both the buttercream cake menu and the classic cake menu).

This means that you can have available a cheesecake, a classic chocolate brownie and at the same time a pistachio buttercream cake, and also a Lotus cake (which is vanilla sponge cake with Lotus cream between its layers).

The most successful flavor was with any doubt "La Viña" Cheesecake, it has become an essential dessert on all menus, is a must for all dessert lovers.

The rain visited Franca & Ameya's destination wedding in Almiral de la Font, but as it was during dinner and the party, and plan B had been activated previously, it did not affect the course of the celebration.

Getting married under a tent is also very charming for us.

In addition, having a tent at your celebration provides you with benefits that you may not have taken into account, such as the fact that provides protection from the sun and high temperatures in summer, and protects you from the cold and wind in the spring and autumn months.

A somewhat unexpected day, full of good vibes and with a very happy ending, dancing in the space disco without the rain being noticed!
