An elegant and timeless wedding at Mas Palou

Mas Palou was the setting Benedicte and Adam chose for their highly personalized destination wedding. While we associate this style with vintage, this wasn't a wedding where the entire setting was entirely vintage; rather, it was a modern and sophisticated wedding that incorporated retro touches.
Satin tablecloths knotted at the ends, soft and pleasant textures throughout the linens, a vintage-style wedding cake and of course the spectacular look of the bride.

Together we achieved a balanced atmosphere where aesthetic touches from another era coexisted without losing freshness and contemporaneity.
Textiles as the protagonists
We can confirm that the fabrics at this wedding played a key role in helping to define the vintage touches the couple was looking for.
The tablecloths and satin fabrics lend a luxurious, shimmering, and sophisticated aesthetic.
They are ideal for special events or weddings. They are unbeatable when the goal is to elevate a simpler design to a formal one, giving a stylish twist to the table settings.
These fabrics also stand out for their soft feel and their uniform, fluid drape.
They are the perfect pieces for couples who want a nostalgic and vibrant touch reminiscent of the fashion of the 60s and 70s, evoking "retro-glam," while also creating a welcoming and comfortable setting.

More elements to achieve a vintage wedding
Color palette
It is necessary to opt for a decoration and aesthetic based on neutral colors such as ivory, nude, cream, olive green, dusty rose, very soft terracotta and aged golds.
Decoration
Antique furniture, along with natural woods, will be key if you want to achieve this look. It's also very important to select French-style tableware, decorative elements such as candelabras and candles of various sizes, and to avoid overdoing the flowers. Opt for wildflowers with touches of white and pink, like English roses.
Silver or stainless steel tableware also helps achieve this classic and elegant style, so it's a good idea to add touches or elements to the table that follow this theme, such as a glass or candle holders.
Music
To further enhance the ambiance and create a cohesive atmosphere, add swing or jazz music. This can be live (which will surprise your guests) or by including several songs in the playlist you prepare for cocktail hour or the banquet.
Another important factor that can help define this vintage style at a wedding is the type of photography.
As you can see in the case of Benedicte and Adam, photographed by Lara Onac, the tones used are warm and inviting, with a textured feel and spontaneous moments captured at sunset..
We highly recommend finding photographers who can capture the different moments with warm tones and analog finishes, but without overdoing it, achieving a soft and natural look. Not all couples consider this, but it will be the visual memory that lasts forever of your wedding, allowing everyone else to see this distinct and well-defined style.

The wedding cake design
We can't deny the fact that vintage-themed wedding cakes have become one of the most popular choices in the last two years.
Whether they have more or fewer tiers, colored buttercream, different finishes, a "just married" sign on the top tier, ribbons to complement the decorations, or come in rectangular or round shapes...
Benedicte & Adam chose a retro-style custom wedding cake, with white buttercream, "just married" in black, and candied cherries for a touch of color.

Destination weddings near Sitges
Why have Spain, and Catalonia, become such popular destinations for international couples to get married?
We are incredibly fortunate to have a privileged climate, excellent temperatures, high-quality ingredients, and a cuisine rich in flavor and produce.
