A vintage wedding at La Centenaria 1779
The year cannot end without talking about the spectacular wedding of Niamh & Brendan on May 17th. A vintage wedding at the Centenaria 1779, or if we want to be more specific, with an air of the famous film called "The Grand Budapest Hotel".
We can categorically affirm that it was a wedding with an incredible personality. Andrea Llàcer was the designer of all the wedding styling, she was in charge of capturing all the ideas that the couple had in mind, to create the wedding of their dreams at La Centenaria.
We worked hand in hand with her because every detail was important.
So, we studied together all the containers, glasses, spoons and so on, where we would serve the appetizers, the main courses, how the buffets would be presented, the sorbet and of course the table set up.
Everything had to follow the same line, style, colors and presentation.
We can conclude that it was a wonderful experience. As always, it is a pleasure to work with the amazing team of La Centenaria 1779, we love meeting new suppliers in the industry - Andrea Llàcer as Creative Director and Event Design, we also had the pleasure of working with Options as the furniture company of this wedding, Lara Onac was in charge of capturing the entire wedding, Rita Experience were responsible for the decoration, Soundworks Pro carried out all the sound organization and The Wedding Man was the one who officiated the ceremony.
Niamh & Brendan
An enthusiastic, lively and joyful couple. From the moment we met them in person they gave us a super positive energy. Eager to do things, willing to adapt to situations and open when it comes to options and ideas.
A couple who came from Ireland to celebrate their big day in Barcelona; a destination wedding to remember.
We worked hard on their wedding. Both with them and with their suppliers to coordinate all the details. We don't know how many emails we may have sent each other.
And, we would do it all again without hesitation.
We ended up making a cake for Niamh's father, since his birthday was two days before the wedding. They trusted us 100% and we couldn't be happier. Every time we remember it, we smile!
It's inevitable when you meet people who are great.
Film-worthy gastronomy
And as for the wedding menu... it was no slouch.
It went perfectly with absolutely everything. There was no shortage of iconic house appetizers, such as the Fine flat bread "coca" with Iberian ham, the Tuna sashimi boat with avocado and soy pipette and the Grilled shrimp and mango skewer. They chose to accompany the cocktail with our buffet of skewers cooked at the moment, and Aperol Spritz available at the drinks bar.
We started the dinner with tapas to share in the center of the table, and we continued with a main course that the guests had previously chosen from the following options:
Fish; Cantabrian hake with seafood sauce, clams and baked potatoes.
Carne: Griddle of boneless suckling pig accompanied with truffled potato parmentier and carrots roasted in the oven with aromatic herbs.
Veggie: Spinach and carrot XXL cannelloni with mushroom sauce.
To end the banquet, a refreshing green lemon cactus sorbet and a sweet individual dessert perfect for chocolate lovers: Ferrero Rocher Sphere.
But... it doesn't end there.
Before going to the party, they went outside and in front of La Centenaria 1779, they cut their wedding cake with vintage style.
Los detalles de su boda destino personalizada
Andrea was in charge of creating a unique atmosphere. Elements, clothing, designs and others helped create that atmosphere inspired by "The Grand Budapest Hotel."
Fabrics that helped condition the dinner space, a personalized stage for their ceremony in the garden of La Centenaria, tablecloths created exclusively for the appetizer tables and the drinks bar, customized napkins for the cocktail, table signage with numbers on lamps, and shell-shaped ashtrays.
Together with all the suppliers, we managed to create the ideal atmosphere, which led to the perfect experience for Niamh & Brendan's wedding.
It is true that sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. So on this occasion, we will make a summary through photographs taken by Lara Onac.

The wedding cake
A wedding that started well, and ended even better. Niamh, the bride, dedicated these wonderful words from thir both to us on our Google profile:
Where do I start with how amazing Cristina, Gemma and all the team were?
When we were deciding on the catering for our wedding I turned to Google reviews, they had the most amazing reviews and I can see why! From start to finish they were phenomenal, we were planning the wedding from Ireland so we wanted it all to be perfect and as stress free as possible. They care so much about the service they give and that the couple is happy. There were no hidden costs with Eskisit, something you hear a lot from a lot of couples getting. Throughout the whole process they were absolutely fantastic, Cristina and Gemma were there every step of the way, always finding it solutions and wanting everything to be perfect. They are also lovely people.
They day of the wedding the service was second to none. All our guests raved about the standard of food and that their glass was never left empty, they constantly scanned the room to make sure everyone was looked after. They have absolutely amazing staff. I can’t wait to get back all my photos and add some of the amazing the food, drink and our cake. Wow it was just fab! They created something very special and we will be forever grateful. I wouldn’t change a thing and would recommended any couple to go with Eskisit.
I wish we could do it all again,
Niamh & Brendan ❤️❤️
